CLBC Challenge #5

Happy July!  It's the 4th of July today, and the people of the United States are having a blast celebrating Independence Day.  As for me, I try to avoid the crowds.

A new month means a new challenge at Creative Ladybird Creations.  As always, the theme is Anything Goes.  This month I used the image "Labrador Stick" from Ike's Art.

My husband and I adopted a chocolate lab puppy.  So I had to color this guy dark brown in our puppy's honor.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Be sure to join this month's challenge!

CLBC Challenge #3 plus A BLOG HOP!

Happy May!  Hard to believe it's already May.  Summer is right around the corner.

A new month means it's time for a new challenge at Creative Ladybird Creations.  As always, the theme is anything goes.

My card uses a digital stamp by our sponsor, Moonflower Digital Stamps.

I just love steampunk!  Steampunk Gina was so much fun to color.

Here's a oldie but a goodie card using Bad Kitty by Ike's Art.  It's got some physics references for you science nerds out there:

Creative Ladybirds Creations March Challenge

It's here!  It's finally here!  The Creative Ladybirds Creations Challenges start today.  The challenges are monthly and the theme is always anything goes.

We're sponsored by 3 different digi companies this month and there is tons of inspiration on the challenge blog.  So check it out and enter HERE.

I used Birthday Monsters by Bugaboo for my first card.  Those fun monsters were just asking for some bold fun colors.

Image-Bugaboo, Paper-Imaginence, Coloring Medium-Spectrum Noir, Stamps-TAWS, Other-Wink of Stella and Ranger

It was so much fun to color that I just couldn't stop, so I added lots of sparkle with my Wink of Stella glitter pen and some shiny balloons, eyes, horns, and teeth with Glossy Accents.  Here's an angled close up in the light.

For my second card, I used Cowboy from Ike's Art.  I've loved Ike's digis ever since I was part of her design team and it was a real treat to showcase her fabulous work.

It's a simple card, but it took me hours to shade that horse!  I might send this to my husband's grandmother.  Her late husband was a rancher and this image looks like a picture we have of him on his favorite horse.

Can't wait to see your projects this month!

IWC #3-Anything Goes

Good morning!  It's the 2nd week of inspiration for Ike's World Challenges.  The challenge this week is

Anything Goes

So grab your favorite image by Ike and get creating.

I used "Here's Kitty" for my card.  I've always hated Schrodinger and his stupid maybe dead, maybe alive box.  Glad that his cat finally gets its say-and I think it's safe to bet that Schrodinger isn't maybe going to not get scratched.

Kitty is colored with Prismacolor pencils.  I used real cardboard that I inked with Distress Inks for the background.  I'm going to send this to my sister-in-law who majored in physics.  She'll find it really funny-she's always hated Schrodinger too.

Be sure to join the fun at Ike's World Challenges.

Ike's World Challenge #2-Awareness

It's my first post for Ike's World.  I'm so lucky to be part of such a talented team.  Be sure to check out what the fantastic crafters did this week and last week with the challenge.  The challenge is "Awareness" and you can get the image for free at Ike's World's Challenge Blog.  If you haven't joined in, it's not too late-there's still a week to play.

Supplies Used: Image-Ike's World, Paper-Paper Studio, Stamps-Technique Tuesday, Embellishments-American Crafts

I love how much emotion is captured in this image.  It really portrays the beauty and courage of the women fighting cancer.  A crafty friend of mine won her fight a few years ago, but I also know other ladies who are still fighting.  May they all remember how truly beautiful and wonderful and unique they are.

Join the challenge at Ike's World.
