It's OWH's annual Virtual Cardmaking Party. (If you just stumbled upon this and want to join in the fun, go HERE.) Aren't you just having a blast making all these cards? I love how all these challenges stretch my creativity and force me out of my comfort zone a bit. Hopefully this next challenge will make you stretch a bit more. My challenge for you is:
Glitz and Glam Without Glitter
Make a glamorous card that is glitter-safe for our heroes. Remember, glitter cards can ruin a soldier's camouflage and we want our heroes to be safe, so NO glitter. You can use all sorts of other embellishments to get a glitter effect that is still hero safe. Here's some inspiration for you:
Supplies Used: Paper-Jillian Bean, Rhinestones-American Crafts, Stamps-The Alley Way Stamps "Awesome Blossom"
Hope that gives you some ideas. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Kaylee, thanks for hosting a VCMP challenge! I can't wait to see what others post to get some inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card! Love the colors and layout!
ReplyDeleteKaylee I am really going to have to put my thinking cap on for this one. Thanks for hosting such a "sparkly" challenge.
ReplyDeleteThis won't be a problem at all. I got rid of all my glitter a long time ago so I wouldn't be using it on cards and get some on OWH cards.
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving us this challenge! We love bling and it is very important to do it safely. Off to give it a go.
ReplyDeleteKaylee, this is an awesome challenge!! I don't even allow glitter in my house, it is evil!!This will surely be a fun challenge!
ReplyDeleteI like the sequins...I have a lot of them I'm going to put them to use.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great challenge for OWH cards. I've never been a big fan of glitter but I am always of the lookout for metallic, shiny elements I can use safely for OWH cards and have a little stash of stuff to dig into when I want some glitz. Thanks for hosting on today's VCMP!
ReplyDeleteI do believe I have some faux jewels...will have to dig them out and design my card around that. Thanks for the challenge!!!
ReplyDeleteI am all about bling and I love the bling on your card!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic challenge and so apropos for owh!
ReplyDeleteI'm away from my craft area this weekend, but am checking in on the VCMP participants and getting such good ideas. I love the papers you used!!! The stamp is cute and versatile. The rhinestones look like little eyes to me, reminding me that my flowers will be blooming soon and are calling out to me for some attention. No glitter is no sacrifice for me. It gets everywhere and I rarely use it. Your card is going into my CASE-It file. It's adorable.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this swap, Kaylee. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. I'm always looking for ways to add bling without using glitter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your card. I really like the layout.
