Late post! Eek! It's the last week of school, and this teacher is scrambling to get everything ready for summer. But I took a break to create a project for this week's challenge at Craft Your Passion. The theme for this week is:
Haberdashery Items
I must confess, I had to consult the dictionary on this one. It's sewing items-stitching, pins, lace, fabric, buttons, etc.
I picked out paper that reminded me of fabric and then added stitching to the edges. I saw a cute card that had rounded tabs underneath a sentiment, so I CASEd it, but used buttons instead. The image is by this week's sponsor-Crafty Sentiments Designs. She's colored with Prismas and OMS. I've been practicing my highlighting on images. I'm pretty happy with how she turned out.
Can't wait to see your take on this week's challenge!
I remember how hectic the end of school is for a teacher! Yikes!! This is a sweet card. Your highlighting is wonderful. You have great depth of colour. Love the buttons peeking out from the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteThis is just adorable! I love (and have) that new set from MFT but I'm not sure it ever would have occurred to me to coordinate it with an image like you did here. The highlighting in her hair is magnificent!! I am so glad today was the day I decided to hop along the OWH Stars & Stamps blog roll and saw this... great inspiration. TFS!
ReplyDeleteAdorable Kaylee!! Love your work...

reißverschluss Wow, cool post. I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real hard work to make a great article... but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though.
