MPC-Office Stuff

Today's Crafts for Cutters challenge at My Paper Crafting is
office stuff
I must say that I struggled with finding an idea for this one.  My mom suggested that I make a flower out of rubber bands which is where this card came from:

I used paper from Bo Bunny and the cartridge Potpourri Basket.  Office supplies included: rubber bands, brads, paperclips, a telegram, graph paper, and a memo card.  Can't wait to see your take on this challenge!

CYP #159

It's time for another challenge at Craft Your Passion!  This week's theme is
Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend
Your project should be girl focused and have diamonds on it (on the image, diamond shapes, or bling added).  I kept humming songs from Moulin Rouge! as I made my card.  Diamonds always make me think of Satine.  I almost did a Satine and the Diamond Dogs inspired card, but my printer is still hating printing digis, so I had to go old school this week.  That's okay because I got to pull out my unused Kraftin Kimmie stamps-this image is Felina from Mexico.  After all, girls love diamonds no matter where they are!

Be sure to stop by Craft Your Passion and see what the rest of the DT created.  After seeing their cards, I really want to get all glammed up for a night out.

I created all the projects at this week's Cartridge showcase at My Paper Crafting.  Join me HERE for some Cricut fun.

CYP #158

It's Monday.  Time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion.  This week's theme is
Adorable Animals
I used an image from this week's sponsor, The Paper Shelter.

Have you ever seen a more adorable animal in your life?!  I am obsessed with this sweet panda-you might be seeing him on a lot more cards.

The die cuts come from the Cricut cartridge Pagoda.  The kanji says "celebrate" just like the English word.  Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's great projects at Craft Your Passion.

CYP #157

Craft Your Passion's challenge this week is
Water Water Everywhere
Use an image with water in it.  Here's my take on it:

My printer did not want to cooperate, so I have a very 'faded' image.  I tried to use that to create a borderless image-but this is my first attempt at that, and I used colored pencils which is not a good medium for that technique.  It still turned out rather cute, too bad it's hard to see on camera.  I'll try to get a better picture uploaded this afternoon.  I used a paper weathering technique from My Favorite Things. You can find the tutorial HERE.

Don't forget to share your water projects this week at Craft Your Passion.

MPC Digi Desserts

I have been far too girly this week, so here's a boy card for you today.  I used "QT Patootie Boy w/Frog-Fishing" by Paper Craft World, which you can purchase HERE.  I colored him with Prismas and OMS and then fussy cut him out.  I replaced the fishing line with twine for just a little extra red color.

The paper, ribbon tag, and stickers are by Basic Grey.  I love the muddy grunge look-reminds me of fishing with my dad.  We always end up coated in mud.  You can link up to Digi Desserts Fridaze at My Paper Crafting HERE.  There is an adorable free digi of a sheep this week at that link, so check it out!

Just some card fun

I have been loving spring break this week!  Since I can't really walk, I'm taking advantage of spending all my time crafting.  I'm trying to fill the last of a box that I'm sending to OWH.  I have a habit of bulky cards, but they're asking for flat cards for easier mailing, so this is a chance for me to practice that too.

First, I used my favorite stamps (TAWS) and a paper-pad that has been sitting unused for a year.

Supplies Used:  Stamps-The Alley Way Stamps (Crazy Critters and Sittin Pretty), Paper-DCWV

And of course I had to use a digi colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS
Supplies Used: Image-Deviant Art, Stickers-K&Co, Paper-Provo Craft

The digi is a freebie which you can find HERE.  Thanks for dropping by my blog this week!

CWC #128-Rain

Ready to Craft With Cutters this week at My Paper Crafting?  I've been so excited to show this project to you-it's been ready for 2 weeks.  This week's theme is
Rain
I'm on week #8 on crutches.  Which has been extremely frustrating.  And it has made working with my Cricut (which is stored on the top shelf) very hard.  But I kept thinking about (and wiser-than-me people kept telling me) "Without the rain, there's no rainbows."  Rainbows have blessed my life lately, so I'm grateful for this experience (but am excited for it to end!).

Here's a rainbow for you.  I used the Create a Critter cartridge to make the cloud tag (it opens to show the quote above) and the digi stamp is called Bear-Rainy-Day from Paper Crafting World.  You can by it for a dollar (yes $1! Love their inexpensive digis!) HERE.

I just bought some blender stubs, so I sterilized their wrapper and used it to hold the Skittles.  The top tag part of the packaging is what I anchored the bear on.  Trying to decide who to give it to-it's sure to make anyone smile.

CYP #156-Onesies

Are you ready for a harder challenge this week at Craft Your Passion?  Last week's challenge (make it cute) was so easy for me.  This one stretched me a bit.  It is a
Recipe and Sketch Challenge

Here's the sketch:
And the recipe is: 1 image, 1 sentiment, 1 patterned paper, and 1 embellishment.

I went a little vintage with my card this week
Supplies: Paper-Cosmo Cricket, Flower-Prima, Image-Digital Paper Craft, Stamp-Hero Arts, Punch-Martha Stewart Crafts

I love that lacy punch.  When I saw the thin strip on the sketch, I knew that's what I wanted to use.  The flower really is printed like that.  It's not paper so hopefully the rest of DT team doesn't consider that cheating-LOL

Be sure to link up to Craft Your Passion.  And check out what the rest of the DT team did-their projects are fabulous!
